Christian or Ricky...since your probably the most knowledgeable, have you scene this video of a recovered T-34 in a swamp, and German markings...what i was wondering, since my stupidity on how to look for stuff, or research knowledge is low....is their anyone who has heard where this Tank ended up, at a museum, collector, scrapyard (heavens forbid) as in a sense it is like a resurrection of sorts, and would be nice to know where this once formidable beast ended up after is raise from the grave....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kKLbKHNquE&feature=related

thanks bf109 Emil

My guess is that it's rusting away somewhere, since the Russian authorities does not have neither the money nor the will to build museums.

Not many pics on the site. I want to visit it this year sometime. It's only about a hour north of me.

I need to invest in a better camera. :P

Just for the record.

The Brussels Army museum has an independant organisation that deals with the armour in the collection.

The website is updated and can be found here: http://www.tankmuseum.be/en/home.html

If there are any questions about the collection let me know.

Closure of the Patton Museum of Cavalry and Armor

Postby PattonCurator » Mon Aug 23, 2010 10:38 am

The Patton Museum of Cavalry and Armor will permanently close its doors at Fort Knox on 7 SEP 2010. The collection will be shipped south to Fort Benning GA and placed in storage until such time that a new building is built - which could take over five years. Good by all - it was nice knowing you.

Sorry to hear that the museum is closing. I'm hoping that the new museum will be up to the standards of the Patton Museum!
