How many tank hunters do we actually have here?I go after every photo op possible.I'd suggest some type of addition to the forum of vehicles photographed by the forum members.I'd also suggest a secondary post or pre WWII section since it's inevitable that you'll run into some non WWII vehicles.

Members are welcome to post a few phographs of each vehicle here, as long as they have taken them themselves. This isn't a photo library, though, since that would require more server space than I think I can muster at the moment. We have been thinking about doing other eras as well, but at the time being, World War II is a big enough project. We can always expand later.

I checked out that local Sherman yesterday. It's an M4A3E8 105mm.It seems to be well taken care of by the local municipality. It's got a good paint job along with national markings and it even has a name. You'll be getting some pics of 'NITRO STARCH' very soon.

That's a very interesting M4 model. It's great to hear that your municipality is taking care of your legacy - something which, sad to say, is rarely the case. Looking forward to see those photographs!

Thanks. They're looking very nice - I wish I would stumble upon tanks like that ;)

I'll upload them for display as soon as possible.

For those who has Google Earth, I managed to find the coordinates, thanks to ST's excellent 'directions':

Medium Tank, M4
Lattitude: 41°36'23.97"N
Longitude: 87°36'25.35"W

Light Tank, M5
Lattitude: 41°43'12.43"N
Longitude: 87°44'49.05"W

By the way, I'm thinking that adding the coordinates for both museums and memorials would be nice, as it would make it much easier to find the vehicles. What do you think?
