A rather good movie about Saipan from japanese stand point. It's about a japanese army captain and his group of soldiers and civilians. He surrendered with 47 of his man on 1.december 1945 after reciving orders from his commanding general.

The World's End.

It was ok, but definitely in last place out of the four Pegg/Frost films

Well, those two could switch places depending on my mood at the time.

It's an interesting premise with some serious stuff behind it, but just a bit overdone.

Watched Pacific Rim.

It is basically Independence Day but with ridiculously over the top Special Effects

Based on what you've enjoyed, I think you'll like it :)

It isn't bad, it's just nothing particularly original (or that requires much brain :P )

Saw Kick Ass 2 last night. It reminded me a lot of 80s action films - lots of rather nasty action, callous violence, death everywhere...

Oddly juxtaposed with a teen comedy film.

It seems to be a theme these days, that films don't quite know which genre they are in. Lone Ranger, for example, was part comedy, part bloodthirsty action film.

You're saying it as if it is a bad thing :)

I thought Lone Ranger was overrated, by the way. I kept wondering what Jack Sparrow was doing in the Wild West.
