Another ww2 vet dies. Sir Christoper Lee volunteered for Finland in Winter war in 1939 and RAF in 1941. Was with SOE and also seconded to SAS.
Something i didn't know about him (had to find out from russian article).

Thank you for scaring me when i was the kid (i still love a good vampire movie)

Also rather unknown fact he recently made himself a name with heavy metal ballads. he himself described it as symphonic metal:
Christopher Lee - My Way/Impossible Dream:

Rhapsody of Fire & Christopher Lee - Magic of Wizard's Dream (symphonic orchestra version):

Rhapsody of Fire & Christopher Lee - Magic of Wizard's Dream in italian:

Christopher Lee - Elenore

Christopher Lee - Ghost Riders in the Sky:
"I am the punishment of God...If you had not committed great sins, God would not have sent a punishment like me upon you"
Genghis Kahn

I am not ordering you to attack, I am ordering you to die. Until we die, we can win the time for the arrival of new troops and commanders.
from the order for counter attack from lt.col. Mustafa Kemal to his 57th Brigade on 25th of April 1915 Gallipoli

"I am not without sins. There cannot be an airborne assault general who has no sins. I spit on popularity ratings. I live and serve as I see fit."
Lt. general Lebed Aleksandr Ivanovich

...not to mention his role as "Saruman" in "Lord of the Rings."
I had no idea he fought with Finns in the Winter War. Thanks for sharing that TISO.
Yes, thanks for scaring generations of kids half-to-death!
