What's Next on Your Bench?

Postby SturmTiger » Mon Nov 17, 2008 1:42 pm

Once I'm done with my entry for GBVI,I gotta build me another U-Boat.I've been itching to get my sub on again.
Tanks rock, but I gotta shift gears once in a while.U-Boat first, then maybe a Republic Star Destroyer.

After the Group Build, I have an armoured Jeep to finish off (well, I've barely started it). In 1/72 scale. It's gonna be fun

well, I think we all have something in queue for after the GB. I'm plannig on the DC3 which is on display in Brussels. It's a sabena airliner from the 1960's I believe. After that, I still have a Puma and a Brummbär in the stash :)

I have a bunch of miniatures for Flames of War to assemble and paint for a buddy.

As for warships, I bought a model of the USS Alabama (battleship) and a Gato class sub that will become the USS Drum. I want to build something I have been to.

Are you going to do that U-Boat that is in Chicago?
Professionals built the Titanic, amatuers built the Ark.

I always have a few ''side-kits'' I work on waiting for the paint to dry on the ''main'' model or just for diversion. At the moment my ''side-kits'' consists of two 1/76 scale Revell kits, a PzKpfw II Ausf.F and a Sherman Firefly, and a 1/72 scale Italeri Matilda II. I'd probably finish one or two of these when I've finished the kit for the Group Build before I start building anything else, the Matilda II is almost finished already. After that I don't know, I have quite a few kits I would like to build next. Perhaps the Revell 1/35 scale Kanonenjagdpanzer.

Already built the U-505.Unfortunately it's a cheapo kit.Most u-boat kits are Type VII's.The U-505 is a type IXC.

If so, a very slow production line. I just need some diversion from time to time, otherwise I would grow so tired of the kit I was working on that I'd never finish it.

hmm, yeah I see your point. Slow production is thesame over here. Well, it seems you can always go for the option of bulk choice, as JC seems to be up to :)
