Actually, it's not quite that old, since you can't actually take a photograph showing the curve of the horizon (to any noticable extent anyway) from Earth.

A US Army launched V2 rocket in 1946. Can't remember if it had a second stage added on or not. If I happen to be right, someone else pose a question, I'll be away for a week or so.
