Sorry, I had to look it up.

That are aliases for the character Casca.

I do have/had a copy of "Casca-Panzer Soldier", so it did at least seem familiar.

I think you should go for it 'JC' if that's OK with Sturm.?
My hints were,"there is a point to this" and anagram 'spare' is 'spear'. that the Roman soldier stuck into Christ on the cross.
The author of the stories was 'Barry Sadler' equals cavalry saddler, also wrote 'Green Beret' and John Waine etc etc.
I wore a 'Black Beret'. The names were two of many in the stories through the ages of the same person.
I think Caska was the first one, he was the Roman with the spear who stabbed Jesus so as not to prolong his agony on the cross.
He gesture was wrongly interpreted and I believe he was cursed to be a mercenry for ever.
Carl Langers I believe was the Panzer soldier?
