why is the Dutch army not on the list

Postby Dutch Bricks » Wed May 11, 2011 9:56 pm

the Dutch army had tanks and vehicles as well.
we weren't that strong, but we fought.
I would like to see a list of the vehicles we had, because I'm a lego builder it's important to know how the vehicle your creating looks like.
kind regards, Victor

Hi Dutch Bricks,

I'm not really sure what list you mean.
If you mean the PMVRP, or the Tanks in WW2 website pages, it partly because these are still in progress, and partly because much of the Dutch equipment was not of Dutch origin. Like this armoured car, built in Sweden but used by the Netherlands.

We don't often discuss Dutch military matters, or Danish, Belgian, Norwegian (and so on) which is something of a lapse on our part. Feel free to start up a topic or seven for discussion!

Unfortunately, it is quite difficult to find books about the vehicles of minor nations. If you know of any books, preferably in English, German or Danish/Swedish/Norwegian but Dutch would be o.k. too, I'll be happy to add them to the list of things to do.
