Secret weapons section

Postby Commando » Thu Jul 17, 2008 11:20 pm

You know guys, we really should have a section on all the secret ops and weapons of WW2.
Secret agents, special forces, secret weapons, great deception plans of WW2 etc.

Think about it! :D

The main problem, as I see it, is how to define what would be a 'secret weapon'.

We used to have one back in the bad old days when I first joined. It never got many posts so it was dumped and the topics merged into other appropriate areas.

Wasn't the grenade first introduced as an "exploding cannon ball" somewhere in the 18th century?

Somewhat like a petard perhaps.

The tank was of course a secret weapon to begin with, hence the name.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the first "exploding cannon ball" was used not in 18th century but it was rather used in ancient China and it was amongst the secret weapon of the Chinese during that time.
